Naval Architects from Basque Country inaugurate a new managing board

On First day of December, on proceeded to confirm the appointment of the new members of the managing board of the COIN  Delegation in the Basque Country, for a further period of four years, in a simple ceremony held at hotel Igeretxe, Getxo, with an associates assistance  rather large for what is usual in such a kind of event.

The new board consists of:

The former dean, Aurelio Gutiérrez, addressed a few words to the attendees, with a brief summary of activities undertaken by the outgoing team and wishing the new Board to work effectively for the good of the profession and all associates in the territory, asking for something that is very important, and often overlooked, a decided contribution of new ideas by all.

The meeting ended with a simple snack and waiting to see soon all present, and no doubt some more, on the annual dinner to be celebrated on the 18th December at the club JOLASETA.


Two days later the new board, but two members who could not attend, met the President of the COIN, José-Esteban Pérez, and some other members of the organizing committee to the next Naval Architecture Congress to be held on 21 and 22 October in Bilbao, with the motto "Ocean Industry, Sustainability, Technology and Innovation” in order to get us know the first steps of their organization and receive his commission  to actively participate in its preparation.
